Chiropractor acquitted of sex assault charges

A Somerton chiropractor fought almost four years against a senior woman’s allegation that he sexually assaulted her during a treatment in July 2011. Last week, a Common Pleas Court jury finally vindicated him.

The jurors found Christopher Walcott, 46, of Yardley, not guilty of aggravated indecent assault last Thursday following three days of testimony and about six hours of deliberations over two days.

A woman had accused Walcott of assaulting her on a massage table at the Advanced Wellness Center of PA, 14260 Bustleton Ave., on July 28, 2011. The accuser was 69 at the time. The woman had visited the facility for treatment numerous times.

The District Attorney’s Office investigated her complaint and approved charges against Walcott that September. After a preliminary hearing in December 2011, the trial was postponed 20 times. ••
